Insipiring.

You make me jealous how you use the Amen break so well, it's just not fair! Amazing stuff, not joking, really good stuff.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Hehe. I didn't get a chance to go to all out with this one and or the breaks. Something pretty simple for the most part. I never did continue work on this, i should though.

Works well.

I'll judge you on what you added, and it's awesome. . Made a good song even better! ^^

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Thanks man.

Woah!

This reminds me of Pink Floyd stuff, the way the percussion is played in the beginning. I loved the laid back feel along with the instruments you used, tip top man, I must say this is play hours on end material. I think the snare was a bit hard, but nothing bad really. I loved it and I downloaded it ^^.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

:)
thank you

I agree with Mechabloby.

IDM is so versatile as a genre of music and can be stretched to lengths and fused with so many genres of music. This song is amazing and your use of the Amen break makes me jealous as an IDM musician myself. If I can ask, did you use an amended Amen break or the one that was in the track by the winstons. I mean it's just so good, it's unbelievable in my opinion. 11/10, probably my fave NG tune to date ^^.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

I agree. Its a really great genre. I try to shy away from sticking with any one mode of subconscious portrayal. I believe the glitch will always be a part of what I do. There's just something about working with imperfections that I find wonderful. A borderline perfectionist working with imperfection. Ah-ha. As far as the Amen, I did not use an amended. The drum work I sequenced piece by piece. It was a pretty raw cut of the break. :)
I think it fits the overall old-school jazz sound. (And just to plug) If you're intrigued by my sound check out my home page and read my latest blog pertaining to the release of my first album (As of yesterday!). Oh, and one more thing - give "The Silver Monster" a once over if you would like. Its a slightly older version of that track though and has since been updated extensively. Its got a bit of a jazzy vibe.

You seriously remind me of Venetian Snares.

And I love Venetian Snares. Your use of the amen break is amazing. I'm faving you as an artist, you're an inspiration dude.

garlagan responds:

O_O Thanks a lot for this awesome review! I love it! :D
I love Venetian Snares too :$ this is such an honor dude, thanks a lot :D!

Amazing.

I love the buildup, and it has IDM elements too. . Amazing job, 10! (Faved)

garlagan responds:

Thanks a lot!! :D

Ten.

Playful and uplifting. . I think the string was a bit loud, but really nice. .
Wish it was longer, why has this only got 3.58? Under rated! Nice work! :D

SqueezyLemon responds:

I just wish more people would get to see it. I made the string loud because its the lead.

Saw waves!

I know you love saw waves, and these ones weren't bad at all. In fact they fitted really well, especially loved the vibrato on the saw-lead. . Dude when I heard the first part I was like OMG YOU DID A GLITCH TUNE, but sadly it wasn't. . Not that that was a bad thing. Once again, you've outdone yourself, and I can't fault this. I'dve maybe smoothed it out a bit, but I'm a smooth synth kinda guy but honestly I love it.
It's a shame I was donwload #16 and not download #1 D:! How silly.

Love the transitions, they worked very well. I seriously wish I would have made this. . I'd love to maybe collaberate with you and even do a rendition of this tune with your permission (I dunno if I could pull it off to be honest) seriously I got so many ideas when I heard this. Very well done, you're moving up the bar!

Random fun fact: My favourite music artist is Canadian too heheheheheheheh rawr.

Yay for saw waves!

Feel free to remix any of my songs -- as for collaborating, you'd have to PM me, because I don't know how it would be done :p

See, the thing is, 1/2 the time I'm making music, I'm not sure how I did what I just did (I think it's because Mixcraft is glitchy lol).

Anyway, I'm really glad you liked it, so thanks for the kind words!
England and Canada unite! XD

Hmm.

To me this doesn't really count as a song, but that doesn't matter.

It has the ambience there, and I liked what I heard. . Sounded like there was a person in the background talking, sounds very sinister indeed. I suppose 40 seconds is long enough, but it just didn't seem to do much for me. I mean I can't say there's much wrong with it. . It' just didn't seem to go anywhere for me.

Then I had a brain wave, scratch that last part of the review, you could be standing in one place, and the surroundings around you are everchanging so it's good in itself. .

I had to listen to this a couple of times before I got into it, but for the most part it's really good. . Nice sounds you got there, they work well together.

DeckyAudio responds:

Thank you very much for a brilliant review. I admit that this is not my best work, its probibly my worst. I feel thought like you got what I was trying to get across, You'r the only person so far to do so. This review made me very happy :).

Thanks again
Decky

Nice.

Loved the intro, though the smoothness. For me when the drums came initially, after the introduction when the tune finally dropped in - to me they weren't powerful enough (for me anyways).

I loved everything else, the synths and the structure were amazing and was something I don't hear much. Only thing about was the "bendy synth" at the beginning. It didn't seem to fit to me (but then that's only my ears and stuff). No need to change it, that's just my preference.

Top class, I'd have this in Misc rather than Techno though (not that it matters).

Thanks for the review. :D
This song is supposed to be chill so I didn't really make the drums very loud.
