O____________O

6/5. . .That is all.

Pretty cool

I was just a tad disappointed with your mixing. Just didn't seem right, like I think some things could have been louder, in regards to the saw waves [yes I said it]. The bass could have been brought back a bit in my opinion, good attempt and good work :3 not much wrong. Loved it for the most part!

Birdinator99 responds:

Yea this is surprisingly messy for me :3 it was a rush job at a friend's house.

YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT AUGH

Thanks dude XD

Would be better as a loop

Or make it longer. . . just saying x3.
I did like what you did with the drums. . good stuff there =3. Great work.

Birdinator99 responds:

I 'ave done nothing, it was zee presets, I swear mon ami!

Another rush job olol

Thanks anyway mahaha

Smooth.

I'd normally write a long review, but I haven't got much to say. It's nice but like it doesn't loop very well! U GET ZERO DURF!!! Kidding, I like it, good atmosphere, sounds like a jungle trek or something. Nice work man.

Anwar Louis ^_^.

Birdinator99 responds:

It's a non-looping loop!

Thanks for reviewing!

Why is the score so low on this? >_>

This is a really cool tune, nice and ambient- really nice feel overall, just a few things I picked out from this.

I think the drum set is a bit soft for this song, maybe consider making a section for the drums, just so it doesn't get monotonous. I also think that clap was a bit in your face compared to the rest of the drums.

I think the same thing goes on (or seems to go on) throughout most of the song which can be very repetitive. On interval maybe add a soft synth that gives some atmosphere and builds the piece up as one. This has real potential.

I loved those vox, they broke up the tune nicely and flowed really well. The synths you used at the moment are great, I loved it.

Over all very good, just needs a few things to get that 10 from me, but it's personal preference really. Great work!

Anwar Louis ^_^

tk7aFLiPSIDE responds:

I definitely will work on that. thanks for the tips. wat are some things i could do to the clap? and i wanna do another synth but idk how to do it cleanly... it always sounds too cluttered to me...?

Neat.

I loved your use of sounds, sounded like GM which is insta cool in my books :). My main issue with the song (not that there are many) is the drums, they seemed to over power the rest of the song for me and on top of that they were very reverbed which kind of didn't mix to well taking into account that the rest doesn't sound very reverbed if any was put on it. That's it, your drumming is really good (if you played or programmed). Keep up the good work!!!

ShiverMeSideways responds:

I forgot to mention, but yeah, the drums were written by me and executed with EZDrummer. The rest of the song was also executed with Guitar Pro 5.2. Opinions noted, I'll try to make the instruments blend together better in the future. Thanks for kind words and the critique!

Pretty decent.

It was good for the most part, like synths were perfect for me. I don't like dubstep but that wobbly synth was perfectly placed. My only concern with this is that the drums for me were a bit generic and with that they wern't levelled correctly. That kick was okay, but maybe find a better sound [sounds like an FL stock kick in the dance pack], and seemed to be a lot louder than the rest of the percussion which didn't seem to go well and mix together. . Not much else, it's fun and it loops perfectly. Good work :).

Daydream-Anatomy responds:

Having a limited sample library is like, my worst vice atm.:/

I wanted the drums to be generic, I wasn't going for anything special, I felt it might make the loop over complicated, and I didn't want to put to much work into considering it's just a loop. The riff was cool and I'd spent a few hours on it, so I thought I'd upload it as a loop.
I'll try fixing the drums up if I get the time.

Thanks for the critique and kind words:3

What is this?!

man this was pretty sweet, shame it wasn't long enough. I really loved those bends, they worked really well with the whole style, I must say you're making me dance while I'm typing this haha. I didn't like the way it filtered much to be honest, it just felt a bit meh for me (only personal preference there). I think the kick was a bit too dominant in the middle stages, but the rest was cool. I hope you add more to this. :)

Anwar Louis ^_^

Prodigal responds:

Thanks :P

The synth is actually a custom saw, a type of sound i've been looking for for quite some time. The filtering was just there to make the song move along, however i'm sure I can find a way to make this sound alot better. I'll try to EQ the kick better as well.

Thanks for reviewing!

Not screwed up.

It just wasn't the same to be honest. . I gave the original a 9 and I'll stick by that. I think though this one notation wise is better, in terms of listening and overall sound sound of it all was a bit meh and not as good as the previous version.

I got the feeling that everything was very far back in the mix in some places, (Like I'm at a gig and I'm right at the back) especially with the drums. I don't know if this was to do with volume (lack of it), reverb or something else, but it just wasn't doing it for me. {Small note: I know a lot of post-rock bands do that, but that's not my thing, so that could only be my personal preference.}

Another thing I noticed was that there was little to now lower frequencies (bassline). I mean there was a low saw in the back but there was no bass to deliver a punch, it just seemed really dinky in that respect. Nothing else bad, just stuff I personally picked up on.

I loved the ambience and the way everything flowed together so well, it was amazing and you've got it down to a fine art so that's something that sits well with this perfectly.

Even though the drums were a bit back in the mix for me, as always you do it well with your sequencing and you seem to outdo yourself time and time again with your programming skills 100%. Very well done there, wouldn't expect any less from the bird man himself! :D!

Sound effects and your placement of them in key areas were amazing, I don't need to elaborate there at all.

Parts were spot on, but you already knew that.

Good things outweigh the bad things, but I think to make it perfect you gotta tweak things. You don't actually have to, I'm just extra picky when it comes to this stuff. Keep up the good work okay!!

Anwar Louis ^_^

Birdinator99 responds:

Being picky is good; I always need something to improve on. If I can't get the little things right, then I tend to not like my work overall.

I wish I knew more things about mastering/EQing, because it would make a world of difference.

I figured it wouldn't be the same -- glad that some of it worked though.

Thanks dude.

I dunno what that last guy was smoking.

This is absolutely beautiful. I would say I would have liked some harder drums but I love it the way it is, and no way does this deserve a six! The whole way throughout I was loving it, I loved your transitions through sections. They were epic, and memorising to say the least.

Only thing I would say to improve is nothing. Keep it that way, it's amazing, to heck with what other people say. Ambient at its finest. If it's okay, can I sample this and stuff? I'd love to turn this into some sort of break beat jive (knowing how busy I am, I have no idea if I'd even get it done in the next two years aha).

Amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing. . Just amazing.

Birdinator99 responds:

Everyone's got their opinion, and I'll respect that, but I'm glad you like it!

Yea, go ahead and sample it -- remixes are always cool.

Thanks for your feedback!
